In 1975 Donella became involved with contemporary music:
she was asked to perform works by the major
contemporary composers (including Salvatore Sciarrino, Sylvano Bussotti, Jonn Cage, Luigi Nono, Marco
Totino, Fabio Vacchi, Azio Corghi, and Francesco Carluccio). Indeed, she gave the world première performance
for a number of compositions - some of which had been written especially for her - in various theatres
and festivals and at the Venice Biennial Music Festival (1975-1977-1979).
